NaturaLawn of America receives recognition for their commitment to protect surrounding waterways.
NaturaLawn of America has continued their voluntarily agreement with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) to protect and improve ground and surface waters.
The agreement states that NaturaLawn of America will work with DCR to safeguard natural resources by following proper lawn fertilization practices and recommending sound homeowner lawn maintenance practices by following a Nutrient Management Plan approved by DCR. This plan covers the amount, placement, timing, and application of nutrient containing materials, such as fertilizer, to help protect Virginia’s water resources. The agreement further states NaturaLawn of America's commitment to teach employees to use the Nutrient Management Plan to responsibly apply and handle lawn care products.
While this recognition comes specifically from the Virginia DCR, NaturaLawn of America takes their role as stewards of the environment very seriously and implements these safer practices throughout their entire system. Proper fertilizer management helps prevent the accumulation of excess nutrients in soil, ground water, and surface waters.
